My second attempt at the Seasons theme, this time with Glazunov’s music and for The Royal Ballet. This was meant to be in the form of a Masque, more theatrical and ‘French’ in style than its predecessor, hence the title.

Budget restrictions, however, limited some of the narrative effects I was looking to create and I think the ballet was largely misunderstood, perceived as ‘old fashioned’ rather than making comment on classicism. Filled with material however, I have often ‘plundered’ it for other works!
